Confidentiality
For our customers, and therefore also for us, confidentiality is just as important as a good translation.
However, modern AI tools and confidentialy sometimes collide, but as AI is here to stay, we at Din Translatør have decided to embrace AI – specifically the product called DeepL – but only because we have taken the necessary steps to secure our customers’ data in various ways.
First and foremost, when using AI for translation, it is important to ensure that you do not unintentionally or unknowingly disclose personal data or confidential, personal and/or market-sensitive information. This is what happens when using the open (or free) versions of generative AI tools such as DeepL. And in the case of copyrighted works, providing DeepL with such texts may even constitute unauthorised copying. This is because generative AI tools use the texts they receive as input to train themselves to become better, which means that the texts may be searchable or otherwise available as output at a later date.
At Din Translatør, we therefore only use the licence-based stand-alone version DeepL Pro.
If you would like to know more about how we use DeepL, please contact us.
In addition, as certified translators, we are subject to a duty of confidentiality regarding all knowledge we learn from and about our customers.
We also follow the code of ethics of the Danish Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters, which you find here (in Danish only).
